Aamir Khan's ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, is all set to release in theatres on August 11. The actor is busy promoting his upcoming film. During a media interaction, Aamir was asked to share his thoughts on boycott 'Laal Singh Chaddha' Twitter trend ahead of the film's release.

The actor said that he feels sad that some people believe that he is someone who doesn't like India. He also appealed to everyone to not boycott his film.

Aamir also mentioned that he and his son Junaid both shot the test video for the role of ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. He felt that his son was apt for the role. However, filmmaker Aditya Chopra was adamant on casting him in the film.

‘I knew mera chance gaya. That innocence of Laal was out there while I would have to act it out. I showed the film to close to 100 people including my family, friends, and colleagues from Raju Hirani, Karan Johar to Aditya Chopra, and 98 felt that I should take him.’ he said.

’They argued that the film was not plot driven but rather episodic and thus a newcomer shouldn’t do it. After long arguments, I finally bought their reasoning,’ he added.

Later on, Aditya Chopra reportedly offered Junaid Khan the film ‘Maharaja’ which will mark his Bollywood debut.
