‘The Kerala Story’ actor Adah Sharma and director Sudipto Sen were supposed to join the Hindu Ekta Yatra in Karimnagar on Sunday. However, they met with a road accident. Soon after the news about their accident started doing the rounds on the internet, Adah took to social media to share that they are all fine.

She said that the accident was ‘nothing major’ and thanked everyone for their concern.

She tweeted, ‘I’m fine guys. Getting a lot of messages because of the news circulating about our accident. The whole team ,all of us are fine, nothing serious, nothing major but thank you for the concern.’

Earlier in the day, she had visited a theatre in Mumbai to see audience’s reaction after watching her film ‘The Kerala Story

Before Adah, Sudipto also confirmed that they couldn't attend the yatra due to some 'medical emergency.'

‘Today we're supposed to visit Karimnagar to talk about our film at a youth gathering. Unfortunately we could not travel due some emergency health issue. Heartfelt apology to the people of Karimnagar. We made the film to save our daughters. Pls keep supporting us #HinduEkthaYatra,’ he tweeted.

Adah Sharma and the team has been getting death threats due to the ongoing controversy surrounding ‘The Kerala Story’. The movie has been facing backlash from a section of political parties and groups who have claimed that the film propagates hatred against the Muslim community.

‘The Kerala Story’ has been running exceptionally well in theatres and it has entered the Rs 100-crore club within two weeks of its release.
