Ananya Panday recalls mistakenly leaking Suhana Khan’s number: ‘I was FaceTiming her…’

Actor Ananya Panday recently admitted to accidentally leaking her friend Suhana Khan's phone number and pretending she had no idea how it happened.

It all began when Ananya tried FaceTiming Suhana, but she didn’t answer. On a whim, Ananya took a screenshot and posted it on Instagram with the caption, ‘Missing Suhana, she’s not picking up.’

Unbeknownst to her, Suhana’s phone number was visible in the screenshot. Shortly after, Suhana called Ananya in a panic, saying, ‘My number got hacked.’

Ananya, unaware of her mistake at first, expressed concern. She later realized her post had accidentally exposed Suhana's number.

Although she quickly deleted the image, the damage was already done, and Suhana found out from someone else.

Ananya said, ‘Once I leaked Suhana's number by mistake. I was FaceTiming her. And then I was like, Suhana is not picking up. I screenshotted the picture and I put it on Instagram and her number was there. Then she (Suhana Khan) called me, 'Listen, my number got hacked' and I said, 'Oh my God. What happened Suhana? That's such a crazy story’. But then someone told her that I did it.’

Ananya admitted feeling embarrassed but laughed it off during the interview.

This wasn’t the only time Ananya had such an incident.

She recalled another moment when she accidentally leaked her own phone number. While giving her number to a journalist during an interview, it was inadvertently shared on YouTube, leading to a flood of calls and messages, which she described as ‘chaotic.’

‘No, I leaked my own number once by mistake. It happened when I was doing an interview. It is now changed because of some reason my phone got taken away. There was a press conference and the interview was starting. Some reporters came and asked me for my number to do journalist things and ask questions and all. So, then I gave the number but the interview had started. And they put it on YouTube with my number. Then, it got leaked,’ she recalled.

On the professional front, Ananya’s latest film CTRL is now streaming on Netflix. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Avinash Sampath, the Hindi-language thriller stars Ananya as Nella Awasthi alongside Vihaan Samat as Joe Mascarenhas.

The story follows Nella and Joe, an influencer couple whose relationship unravels after Joe cheats on her. Seeking a fresh start, Nella turns to an AI app to erase Joe from her life, but things spiral out of control as the AI takes on a sinister role.
