Aryan Khan who was granted bail by the Bombay High Court yesterday in the drugs-on-cruise case will not be released today as the 5:30 pm deadline for jail authorities to accept bail documents passed.

      Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan who was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Thursday in the drugs-on-cruise case will not be released on Friday, confirmed Arthur Road jail authorities.

      The process for his release was not completed today and the 05:30 pm deadline for jail authorities to accept bail documents passed. The Zamaanat Peti (box for bail orders) outside the jail where the bail orders have to be submitted remains open only till 05:30 pm.

      The Bombay High Court on October 29 made available its operative order that would would help Aryan's advocates to secure his release.

      The court has imposed 14 bail conditions on Aryan Khan, paving the way for his release from jail.

      Bollywood actress and a long-time friend of Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla reached NDPS court on to sign a bond for Rs 1 lakh for Aryan Khan’s bail.

      The HC had granted bail to Aryan Khan, 25 days after he was arrested during a drug raid on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.
