Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna to star in Dinesh Vijan's 'Vampires of Vijay Nagar': Report

Maddock Films is on a roll! After the box office success of 'Munjya,' Dinesh Vijan and co rolled out the teaser for their upcoming film 'Stree 2' with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, promising a perfect blend of laughter and chill. In a fresh development, reports have suggested that the production house has roped in Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna for their next venture, 'Vampires of Vijay Nagar', set to go on floors in November. Scroll ahead for more details.

      Rashmika-Ayushmann in Dinesh Vijan's next?

According to a Pinkvilla report, Rashmika and Ayushmann have been cast to play the leading roles in Maddock Films' 'Vampires of Vijay Nagar'. Quoting a source close to the development, the publication revealed, “Ayushmann Khurrana and Dinesh Vijan have previously worked together on Bala and share a great creative bond. They have been discussing Vampires of Vijay Nagar for a while now and are all set to take the film on floors by the end of this year." The source also added that the team is aiming to start the film in November.

“It will mark the first collaboration of Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. Both the actors have a very unique arc in the film, which will take the audiences by surprise. The script is presently in the writing stage and will soon get into the pre-production stage,” the source added.

      Ayushmann & Rashmika's first collaboration

If reports turn out to be true, this would mark the first collaboration between Ayushmann and Rashmika. Ayushmann is currently working on the yet-untitled espionage comedy produced by Karan Johar and has begun filming the Anurag Singh-directed 'Border 2'. Rashmika, meanwhile, will complete filming for Pushpa 2 with Allu Arjun and Sikandar with Salman Khan before moving on to Vampires of Vijay Nagar.
