Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor surprised their fans on Monday morning by announcing their pregnancy through a post on the former's Instagram account. As #Ralia fans are overwhelmed with the news, old interviews of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are doing the rounds in which they spoke about marriage and having kids.

During the trailer launch of his forthcoming film 'Shamshera' on June 24, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about his marriage with Alia and said that he 'couldn't have asked for a better life partner.'

He also talked about how he earlier worked for himself and how he wants to work more now as he wants to start his family.

'Nahi nahi abhi mujhe bahut kaam karna hai sir. Abhi mujhe family banani hai, unke liye kaam karna hai. Pehle main khud ke liye kaam kar raha tha. Abhi main bahut kaam karunga.” (I want to work a lot now. I want to make my family and work for them. Earlier I used to work for myself. Now I will work a lot,) he told the media.

On the other hand, Alia Bhatt opened up about her plans to get married and have babies in a 2018 interview. She said she would get married because of kids.

'Maybe, people expect me to get married at 30, but I might surprise myself as well and get married before that. Nothing is cast in stone, right? So, if I feel that I'm in a position where I want to take such a step, then I will. I've always believed that I would get married because of kids. So, if I am like, 'This is the time I want to have my children and am also ready to have babies,' I will get married,' she had said.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot at their Vastu residence on April 14 this year.
