A day after Eid, Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff's 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' and Ajay Devgn's 'Maidaan' witnessed a drop in the box office collection. 

‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ earns over ₹5 crore while ‘Maidaan’ mints ₹2.72 crore on day 2 after Eid Holiday

Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and Ajay Devgn starrer sports drama ‘Maidaan’ are performing decently at box office, however, both the films witnessed a drop in collection on day 2.

‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ box office collection

The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial hit the theatres on Eid and has minted ₹21 crore in just two days. According to Sacnilk.com, BMCM raked ₹5.9 crore nett in India on day 2 of its release. The film witnessed an overall 14.05% Hindi occupancy on Friday. The action thriller made an impressive start as it minted ₹15.65 crore on its opening day.

‘Maidaan’ box office collection

On the other hand, Ajay Devgn’s sports biopic has earned over ₹9 crore so far in the domestic market. ‘Maidaan’ earned ₹2.72 crore nett in India on Friday, taking its overall collection to ₹9.82 crore.

Despite the numbers being decent, it is worrying for the makers as the budget of both the films is quite high. Akshay-Tiger's action-packed film has been made on a budget of ₹350 crore while Ajay Devgn starrer film’s budget reached to ₹250 crore owing to the multiple delays. However, both the films still have a weekend, where the numbers are expected to rise.

About ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’

Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are in their top action form in the film which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chillar, Alaya F and Sonakshi Sinha in key roles. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film boasts of high-octane action.

About ‘Maidaan’

With Ajay Devgn in the lead role, the sports biopic is based on the life of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. The film follows his story and showcases his determination to put Indian football on global map. The film also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh.
