Bobby Deol opens up on his character in 'Animal': 'Stories are influenced by what’s happening in society'

Bobby Deol’s latest release ‘Animal’ is receiving appreciation from the audience and now the actor has opened up on the film and his character.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Bobby said, “I cannot understand how to process this. As an actor, you are always waiting for that moment when you get recognition, it is like a dream. God has been kind. Hard work turns into luck. I always had self belief, I knew I had so much to give. Thanks to my director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for changing my life.”

The actor was also seen breaking down after he was spotted coming out of a theatre in Mumbai. Talking about it, Deol said that he has been working hard for an opportunity like this. He added, “The passion I have for my work, the love I have for my industry... I didn’t know how to control my emotions.”

Bobby’s character in the film is receiving immense love. Though the film has made massive collections, but a section of audience is also critical about various aspects of the film like toxic masculinity. To this Bobby said, that he is an actor who wants to play characters and that he is not promoting anything. He said that he does roles that challenge him. He added that stories are influenced by what’s happening in the society. He said, "What is storytelling? Stories are influenced by what’s happening in our society. It’s just that people don’t want to talk about those things because they want to believe that doesn’t exist."
