Kiccha Sudeep says 'Hindi is no more a national language,' Ajay Devgn reacts

Recently, the Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep made a comment that Hindi was no longer a national language. To this, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn defended Hindi as a national language. While Sudeep's statement drew a lot of flak on social media, the 'Runway 34' actor Ajay tweeted against Sudeep’s controversial statement.

After he spoke about Hindi no longer a national language, Kiccha Sudeep has been subjected to brutal trolling on social media. This comes in the wake of south films breaking records at the box office. Ajay Devgn had a staunch reply for Kiccha, which he posted on Twitter. He stated (in Hindi) that, 'If Hindi is not our national language, then why do you release your native language [mother tongue] films by dubbing them in Hindi? Our mother tongue and national language was, is, and always will be Hindi'.

Kiccha Sudeep, on his part, did not remain silent and responded to Ajay’s tweet stating that the context in which he spoke that sentence was completely different from how he believed it reached Ajay. He added, when he sees Ajay in person, he'll most likely emphasize why the statement was made and that it wasn't meant to hurt, provoke, or start any debate.

At the launch event of his film 'R: Deadliest Gangster Ever', Kiccha Sudeep spoke about the success of south movies doing supremely well at the box office pan-India. He said that a pan India film was made in Kannada. He would like to make a small correction. Hindi was no longer a national language. The actor went on to say that Bollywood is doing pan-India films and that they are struggling to find success by dubbing in Telugu and Tamil, but it’s not happening. And they (the south) made films which are watched worldwide.
