‘Dahaad’: Sonakshi Sinha-Vijay Varma starrer to premiere at Berlin International Film Festival

Sonakshi Sinha and Vijay Varma-starrer ‘Dahaad’ has been selected for the Berlinale Series Competition in February 2023. It is the first Indian web series to compete at the Berlin International Film Festival. 

‘Dahaad’: Sonakshi Sinha-Vijay Varma starrer to premiere at Berlin International Film Festival

Sonakshi Sinha and Vijay Varma-starrer ‘Dahaad’ has been selected for the Berlinale Series Competition in February 2023. The upcoming Prime Video web series is the first Indian web series to compete at the Berlin International Film Festival. Directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, it also stars Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah in pivotal roles.

Taking to Instagram, ‘Dahaad’s co-producer Zoya Akhtar shared the news with a note. She wrote, ‘Dahaad’s roar echoes through the #Berlinale as it becomes the first Indian web series to premiere at the festival!’

Sonakshi Sinha and Vijay Varma too shared the news on their respective social media handles.

As soon as the news was shared, celebrities and fans took to the comment section to congratulate the cast.

The crime drama is based on sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati, played by Sonakshi Sinha, and other police officials as they try to unravel a mysterious case. It has been produced by Ritesh Sindhwani, Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti and Farhan Akhtar.

Only two out of eight episodes of the series will screen at the Berlin Film Festival.
