Deepika Padukone to unveil FIFA World Cup trophy during final in Qatar

Actor Deepika Padukone is reportedly all set to unveil the FIFA World Cup trophy during the final, which will take place later this month. She is expected to fly to Qatar to participate in the event soon. Deepika will be the first actor of international stature to receive such an honour in one of the world’s biggest sporting events.

The trophy will be unveiled before the World Cup final on December 18 at the Lusail Iconic Stadium, according to Indian Express.

Deepika represented India as one of the jury members at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival earlier.

Nora Fatehi performed at a FIFA Fan Fest event in Qatar last week. She set the stage on fire dancing to the World Cup anthem 'Light the sky' and a few of her hit tracks like ‘O Saki Saki’. The dancing diva received immense praise for her performance and many attendees took to social media to share pictures and videos of her.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in ‘Gehraiyaan’. She is now busy shooting for ‘Project K’, alongside Prabhas. Some of her forthcoming projects include ‘Pathaan’, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham, and ‘Fighter’ with Hrithik Roshan.
