Diwali 2021: 'Sooryavanshi' to 'Eternals', new releases you cannot miss!

The festival of lights is here and if you are still unsure about your plans, the film industry has you covered. Big Bollywood, Hollywood and South films release this week, and there's something for everyone.

      Sooryavanshi
Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Sooryavanshi' hits theatres right in time for Diwali. The much awaited cop drama from Rohit Shetty has Akshay Kumar playing the role of Deputy Superintendent of police, the chief of anti-terrorism squad at the centre of the film's narrative. Katrina Kaif plays his love interest in the film. Not just that, 'Sooryavanshi' also has cameos by Ajay Devgn aka Singham, and Ranveer Singh aka Simmba. Trade analysts expect the film to rake in the big bucks at the Box Office, after two years of slowdown.

      Annaatthe

After two years, Rajinikanth fans will be able to feast their eyes on his much awaited film 'Annaatthe'. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award recipient will no doubt be a crowdpuller at the theatres. In the film, Rajini plays Kaalaiyan, a village leader who is devoted to his village folk and family, especially his sister, played by Keerthy Suresh. When their peaceful existence is threatened by a villain, played by Jagapathi Babu, all hell breaks loose, and Kalaiyan seeks revenge. For all the Tamil movie buffs, 'Annaatthe' is a must watch.

      Eternals

Academy award-winning director Chloe Zhao brings fans her first superhero film 'Eternals'. The Marvel movie boasts of an ensemble cast with Hollywood biggies like Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, Kit Harington among others. 'Eternals' is set after the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’, and follows the story of a battle against The Deviants in bleak landscapes filled with storms and explosions. The film has already been released in other parts of the world but Indian fans are yet to see it in the theatres.
