'Emergency': Kangana Ranaut dismisses 'fake news' about the film, here's what she said

Actor Kangana Ranaut, who is currently busy in making her forthcoming film 'Emergency', has refuted reports of her being granted permission to shoot inside the Parliament.

The 'Queen' actor took to Instagram stories and reshared a post that read, 'First time ever a movie is allowed to shoot in parliament, a small segment of the Emergency movie will shoot soon in parliament.' According to a Hindustan Times report, she dismissed this rumour and called it ‘fake news'.

Earlier, news agency PTI reported that the 'Panga' actor had written to Lok Sabha Secretariat seeking permission to shoot her forthcoming film ‘Emergency’ inside the Parliament premises. Sources had revealed that private entities are not granted permission for shooting or recording any sort of videography inside Parliament premises normally. Only state broadcasters Doordarshan and Sansad TV are allowed to shoot programs or events inside Parliament.

'Emergency' is a political drama, directed and produced by Kangana. In the film, the actor will be portraying the role of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. On the work front, besides 'Emergency', Kangana Ranaut is awaiting the release of her upcoming film, 'Tejas'.
