'Gully Boy' to 'Gehraiyaan': Siddhant Chaturvedi's journey to stardom

After the roaring success of 'Gully Boy', Siddhant Chaturvedi made a special place for himself in Bollywood. The actor played 'McSher' and shared the screen space with the versatile Ranveer Singh for the very first time in his career. Siddhant impressed everyone with his savagery and style in the film.

Where is he from?

The 28-year-old actor was born in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia on April 29, 1993, and moved to Mumbai at the age of five. Siddharth aimed to join his father's profession, a chartered accountant, but destiny had other plans.

Filmy Career

Only a few are aware that Siddhant started his career in 2016 with a sitcom, 'Life Sahi Hai'. The story chronicles the lives of four guys who have moved to Delhi to live independently.

The actor got recognition with Amazon Prime's web series 'Inside Edge', where he played Prashant Kanojiya, a small-town boy bought to play for the Indian cricket league. The show, which revolved around cricket, glamour and crime, also starred Angad Bedi in the lead.

Always keen to work in films, Siddhant went through rigorous auditions to bag his first role in the film industry.

Siddhant's journey to stardom is quite an inspiration for all of us. 'Gully Boy' was based on rappers Naezy and Divine and won millions of hearts. Siddhant made a special place in the industry with his character as 'Mc Sher' when 'andar ka lava fatt ke bahar aya'!

Siddhant was recently seen in YRF's 'Bunty aur Babli 2'. He shared the screen with the debutante Sharvari Wagh, Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherji in pivotal roles. The actor played the new age Bunty in the film. Although the film failed at the box office, Siddhant impressed us with his character.

Upcoming Projects

Siddhant Chaturvedi will be seen in Shakun Batra's 'Gehraiyaan', sharing screen space with Deepika Padukone and Ananya Pandey for the first time. The trailer has set our hearts racing, and the songs are trending too. The film releases on February 11 on Amazon Prime Video.
