Ranbir Kapoor has donned many hats, from a rockstar, casanova, to the friend next door and every time the Kapoor lad has left the audience wanting more.

As Ranbir Kapoor turns 39, here are some of the actor's best performances that you should be on your 'must watch' list.

      'Rockstar'
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, 'Rockstar' is still known as one of the most successful movies of Ranbir Kapoor. The film is based on the life of a college student Janardhan Jakhar played by Ranbir who becomes a globally celebrated Rockstar and can't handle the pressure that comes with it.

      'Barfi!'
Filmmaker Anurag Basu’s 'Barfi' is a story of three young people who learn that love can neither be defined nor contained by society's definition of normal and abnormal. Ranbir Kapoor not only won over the heart of every critic but also won many accolades for his memorable performance as a speech imparied.

      'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'
'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' is a happy-go-lucky film that will surely lift your mood. Featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Kabir and Deepika Padukone as Naina among others, the film teaches us about love, life & friendships.

      'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'
Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Anushka Sharma, and Fawad Khan is all about love and heartbreaks. Ranbir portrays the role of Ayan Sanger who beautifully demonstrates the joy as well as the pain associated with unrequited love.

      'Sanju'
Rajkumar Hirani's directorial 'Sanju' shows Ranbir Kapoor perfectly imbibing Sanjay Dutt's character so well that many believed he is the real Sanju. The biopic covered different phases of Dutt's life from his 20s to the present and we must say Ranbir impressed everyone with his spectacular performance.
