The 22nd edition of the much-awaited International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) 2022 was held on June 3 and June 4 in Abu Dhabi. While ‘IIFA Rocks’ event was held on 3rd June, the main awards night took place on June 4.

It was Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon who bagged the ‘Best Actor’ and ‘Best Actress’ awards for their stellar performances in ‘Sardar Udham’ and ‘Mimi’ respectively.

Best Picture – ‘Shershaah’

Best Director - Vishnu Varadhan (‘Shershaah’)

Best Actor In A Leading Role - Vicky Kaushal (‘Sardar Udham’)

Best Actress In A Leading Role - Kriti Sanon (‘Mimi’)

Best Actor In A Supporting Role - Pankaj Tripathi (‘Ludo’)

Best Actress In A Supporting Role - Sai Tamhankar (‘Mimi’)

Best Debut Male - Ahan Shetty (‘Tadap’)

Best Debut Female - Sharvari Wagh (‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’)

Best Playback Singer Male - Jubin Nautiyal (for the song 'Raatan Lambiyan' from the film ‘Shershaah’)

Best Playback Singer Female - Asees Kaur (for the song 'Raatan Lambiyan' from the film ‘Shershaah’)

Best Music (tie) - AR Rahman (‘Atrangi Re), and Tanishk Bagchi, Jasleen Royal, Javed-Mohsin, Vikram Montrose, B Praak and Jaani (‘Shershaah’)

Best Lyrics - Kausar Munir (for the song 'Lehra Do' from the film ‘83’)

Best Story Original - Anurag Basu (‘Ludo’)

The Shoojit Sircar-directed 'Sardar Udham’ topped the technical awards. It was followed by Aanand L Rai's ‘Atrangi Re’, ‘Shershaah’, ‘Thappad’, ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ and Kabir Khan's ‘83’ among others.

The ‘IIFA Rocks’ which was attended by the who’s who of Bollywood, was a roaring success. The event included a musical evening, fashion show and lots of gags, thus keeping the audience entertained.
