'India Lockdown' trailer: Audience recall the horror of Covid-19 pandemic

The trailer of the Madhur Bhandarkar’s 'India Lockdown', starring Shweta Basu Prasad, Prateik Babbar, and Ahana Kumra among others has been unveiled. The Zee5 film is based on the initial days of the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic when the government called for a 21-day lockdown across the country.

The trailer shows how people from various backgrounds - a pilot, a sex worker, a daily-wage labourer, a house worker, and a mother, are trying to cope up with the new ‘normal’.

It has shown an overflow of emotions as the four narratives move ahead parallelly. It has scary visuals of migrant workers, daily workers, who were laid off at that time, and the plight of sex workers who fought for their survival. The film will bring the tales of how lives were changed ‘irreversibly’ for many.

Prateik Babbar shared the trailer on Instagram and wrote, 'Official Trailer | Times of struggle, grief and hope. Witness the untold stories of the pandemic in #IndiaLockdown premiering 2nd Dec on #ZEE5'

Backed by Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Bhandarkar Entertainment, and Pranav Jain’s P J Motions Pictures, the film is all set to release on Zee5 on December 2.
