Deepika Padukone to miss MET GALA 2024: Reports

Reports are emerging that Deepika Padukone will not be attending MET GALA this year. The actor has represented India at the prestigious fashion event multiple times, is currently busy with the shoot of ‘Singham 3’. Besides, she also has ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ which will release in May, clashing with the event. The actor has therefore decided to prioritise her work commitments and skip the biggest night celebrating fashion.

About Met Gala 2024

The annual fundraiser event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute will take place on May 6, 2024. The theme for this year is ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion’. Deepika had made her debut at Met Gala red carpet in 2017 and has been slaying it since then.

About Deepika Padukone’s work front

Deepika will soon be seen with superstar Prabhas in sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Set to release on May 9, 2024, it also stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in important roles. On the other hand, Deepika will be seen in cop avatar in ‘Singham Again’ which also marks her entry into Rohit Shetty’s cop universe.

The gorgeous actor was recently honoured when the official Instagram account of The Academy shared a clip from the 'Bajirao Mastani' song 'Deewani Mastani'.
