Janhvi Kapoor, Shikhar Pahariya, Orry attend Radhika Merchant’s Mameru ceremony | Watch

Radhika Merchant celebrated her Mameru ceremony on July 3 ahead of her grand wedding with Anant Ambani. The ceremony took place at the Ambani residence in Mumbai.

This Gujarati ritual involves the bride-to-be’s maternal uncles gifting her jewellery and clothes.

Photos and videos from the ceremony have been widely circulated online. Besides the Ambani family, Radhika’s friend, actor Janhvi Kapoor attended the event with her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya. Orry shared a sneak peek of the event on his Instagram handle.

For her big day, Radhika Merchant donned a multicolour lehenga, completing her look with statement jewelry and neatly braided hair. The groom-to-be complemented his fiancée by wearing a pyjama set in similar colours. The couple was seen aboard a chariot with a jungle theme, featuring statues of various wild animals.

Other family members were also dressed in shades of pink and tangerine.

Janhvi also followed the colour theme and wore a lehenga in similar hues. ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ star Manushi Chhillar was also present at the event, wearing a beautiful tangerine saree.

In another viral video, Nita Ambani is seen welcoming her mother and other guests by applying tilak on their foreheads.

Mukesh Ambani, Isha Ambani, Akash Ambani, Shloka Mehta, and Anand Piramal were spotted posing for photographers. Mukesh Ambani’s younger brother, Anil Ambani, along with his wife and former actor Tina Ambani, also graced the event.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to tie the knot on July 12. The couple is reportedly planning a grand sangeet ceremony on July 5 at the NMACC center, which has a seating capacity of around 2,000 people.

Anant got engaged to Radhika in a Gol Dhana ceremony in Mumbai on January 19, 2023. Their earlier pre-wedding celebrations in March featured performances by Rihanna, Diljit Dosanjh, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Akshay Kumar. Following a celebration in Jamnagar, they treated select guests to a luxurious cruise. Anant is the younger son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and philanthropist-businesswoman Nita Ambani.
