On the occasion of Janmashtami, several people took to social media to extend their best wishes. Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, and Abhishek Bachchan were among those who extended heartfelt wishes to their fans.
‘Ala re Ala Govinda Ala’
Amitabh Bachchan took to Instagram and shared a video featuring a Janmashtami celebration sequence from his film, 'Khud Daar', and a similar sequence from his son, Abhishek Bachchan's film, 'Happy New Year'. He captioned his post in Hindi, ‘Ala re Ala Govinda Ala.’
‘It is Shri Krishna Janmashtami’
Hema Malini posted a picture of Lord Krishna and wrote about the importance of the festival that celebrates his birth. She wrote, ‘It is that festival tonight which we all look forward to with joy & enthusiasm. Yes! It is Shri Krishna Janmashtami, which celebrates the birth of the Lord who came to earth to annihilate all evil. His Bhagvat Gita is acknowledged as the best treatise on how to live an honorable life.’
‘Janmashtami ki shubhkamnaen’
Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram stories and shared a picture from her Vrindavan visit. ‘Last year I went to Vrindavan for Baanke Bihari darshan…Radhe Radhe. Janmashtami ki shubhkamnaen,’ she wrote.
‘Radhe Radhe bolo’
Abhishek Bachchan extended his best wishes on this auspicious occasion with a video featuring Krishna ji’s celestial instrument, the flute. He captioned it, ‘Radhe Radhe bolo Jai Kanhaiya Laal ki #KrishnaJanmashtami.’
