'K.G.F: Chapter 2' to 'Drishyam 2': Sequels that ruled the box office in 2022

2022 is coming to an end in a month and there have been many films that have done wonders at the box office, while a few have tanked at the box office. Let’s take a look at those films whose sequels won everyone’s hearts.

‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’
The action drama, starring superstar Yash, received an overwhelming response from the critics as well as the audience. It reportedly collected more than Rs 950 crores at the domestic box office and nearly Rs 1200 crores worldwide. It also starred Sanjay Dutt, Prakash Raj, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, and Malavika Avinash.

‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’
Starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu, is one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of this year. The audience and the critics were left in awe of Rooh Baba. The Anees Bazmee-directed horror comedy reportedly ended its run at the box office with a worldwide collection of over Rs 250 crore. The film raked in Rs 185 crore in India.

‘Karthikeya 2’
The mystery action-adventure film, starring Nikhil Siddhartha, Anupama Parameswaran, and Anupam Kher, garnered positive reviews and the film's collections went from strength to strength. It earned a worldwide box office gross of over Rs. 100 crores.

‘Drishyam 2’
The recently released film, starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Shriya Saran, is ruling the box office these days. The Abhishek Pathak directorial earned Rs 169 at the domestic box office in just two weeks, while it has reportedly crossed the Rs 207 crore mark worldwide.
