Kangana Ranaut mockingly lauds Karan Johar as she finds no news on 'Selfiee's failure

Kangana Ranaut has slammed Karan Johar for his co-produced film ‘Selfiee.’ Kangana took to Instagram and shared a news article that compared Akshay Kumar’s ‘Selfiee’ with Kangana’s ‘Dhakad’ and mockingly commended KJo.

Sharing the box office report of ‘Selfiee’, Kangana wrote, ‘Karan Johar movie Selfie has hardly made 10 lakhs on the first day I don't see even one trade or media person talk about it forget mocking or bullying him the way they harass me…’

Kangana also shared a news article titled, ‘Male version of Kangana Ranaut!,' Netizens react as Akshay's ‘Selfiee’ fails to impress viewers, may be his 6th flop film in a row.’ Sharing this, she wrote, ‘I was looking for news about selfie flop I found all the news is about me…yeh bhi meri hi galti hai (with laughing emojis).’ She also added, ‘Wah bhai Karan johar wah (Congrats).’

The latest release that stars Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi in the lead, is directed by ‘Good Newwz’ fame Raj Mehta. It is an official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film ‘Driving License.’ It also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty. The film is backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions along with Magic Frames, Prithviraj Productions, Cape of Good Films and Star Studios.

According to some early predictions, ‘Selfiee’ will record a collection ranging between ₹4 to 5 crore on its opening day, Friday. If this prediction is true, it will be among the lowest openers for Akshay Kumar in the last ten years of his career.

While Kangana’s last film ‘Dhakad’ was listed among the low-performing movies of last year. She is now all set for her upcoming directorial ‘Emergency.’
