Karan Johar announces new action franchise, will Sidharth Malhotra be cast?

Karan Johar took to Twitter to share a teaser of his upcoming project, which will be Dharma's first-ever action franchise film. Karan also added that more details regarding the project will be revealed on November 18.

Speculations are rife on whether actor Sidharth Malhotra will be cast as lead. Sidharth Malhotra is currently riding high on the success of 'Shershaah', co-starring his rumoured girlfriend Kiara Advani, that released a couple of months ago on Amazon Prime Video.

It was also a big win for Karan Johar and Dharma Productions, who had produced the project.

Dharma Productions is also producing 'Liger' that will mark the Bollywood debut of South star Vijay Deverakonda. The film also stars boxing legend Mike Tyson along with Ananya Panday as the female lead. The cast and crew are currently shooting in Las Vegas for the US schedule of the film.

Apart from that, Karan Johar returns to the director's chair with 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani' starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.
