The Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued a notice to Kareena Kapoor Khan after a petition sought action against her for using the word ‘Bible’ in the title of her book on pregnancy. Here’s the full details of case.

Case against Kareena Kapoor Khan

Advocate Christopher Anthony moved the High Court after his plea was rejected by an Additional Sessions Court in February 2022. The petitioner sought an F.I.R registration against the actor for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the Christian community by using the word ‘Bible’ in the title of her book- ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible’. Other than the actor, Amazon Online Shopping, Juggernaut Books and the co-author of the book are the other respondents in the case. The petitioner demanded a ban on the book’s sale.

Initially, the petitioner submitted a complaint to a local police station in Jabalpur, however, the police refused to file a case. He then moved a magistrate court but his plea met rejection again. After getting dismissed from the Additional Sessions court, the plea finally came before the High Court.
