Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is currently busy with the promotional activities of her upcoming film 'Crew', recently opened up about her cousin and actor Ranbir Kapoor's performance in 'Animal'. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film, despite being a box office blockbuster, courted many controversies and featured Ranbir in a never-seen-before menacing avatar.

'Ranbir has the attitude and confidence'

Speaking on the BeerBiceps podcast, Kareena said that while the film divided the nation into two parts, Ranbir was honest in his approach to bringing life to the complex character. “Empathy is an important aspect of your performance. To feel what the character is feeling and to bring out that emotion is also very important.”

Further showering him with praise, Kareena called Ranbir a deadly actor, just like his parents, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. “Ranbir has the attitude, confidence, and air that nobody has in the Indian film industry. I don’t even think I am biased because I genuinely believe that there is no one like Ranbir Kapoor. He is a deadly combination because Chintu uncle was also a deadly actor; the same is true of Neetu aunty,” she said.

      Kareena Kapoor's work front

Workwise, Kareena will next feature in 'Crew,' co-starring Diljit Dosanjh, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon. Directed by Rajesh A. Krishnan, the film has been bankrolled by Balaji Motion Pictures and Anil Kapoor Films & Communication Network. The film is slated to release in theatres on March 29. After 'Crew,' Kareena will make her cop universe debut with Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again'.
