Kareena Kapoor says her performance in 'Omkara' and 'Chameli' is underrated; likens 'Jab We Met' to 'ghar

Actor Kareena Kapoor's portrayal of Geet in Imtiaz Ali's 'Jab We Met' continues to remain a fan-favourite.

However, in a recent interview, the actor said that while Geet and Poo, her character in Karan Johar's 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum' continue to get love from the audience, her work in movies like 'Yuva', 'Omkara' and 'Chameli' went unnoticed.

When the interviewer asked her why every film she does is compared to her iconic performance in 'Jab We Met', Kareena said: 'Of course, it will always be compared to Poo and Geet, they are iconic I understand. Everybody is going to compare. But I feel like people should talk about Chameli, Omkara, Heroine, they are pretty underrated in terms of my performance, Yuva too. Why don’t people talk about that.'

Speaking with Hindustan Times, Kareena likened 'Jab We Met' to 'ghar ki khichdi' and said that even if you watch the movie again and again, it doesn't seem like an old film. She said it is a rarity that every time you watch it, it's like you're watching it for the first time. 'It's just the character,' Kareena added.

Kareena Kapoor was last seen in Advait Chandan’s 'Laal Singh Chaddha', alongside Aamir Khan.

She has 'The Devotion of Suspect X' and 'The Crew' in the pipeline.
