Legendary playback singer, Lata Mangeshkar, breathed her last on 6 February 2022 at Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital. She was 92. In her eight-decade long career, the singer gave us some of the most beautiful melodies of Indian film industry. She collaborated with singers like Mohammad Rafi, Kishore Kumar, RD Burman and many other legends.

Here are some of her duets which touched millions of hearts across the nation.

1. Mohammad Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar

Yeh Dil Tum Bin Kahin Lagta Nahin: Mohammed Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar gave us some of the best evergreen songs like 'Jhilmil Sitaron Ka Aangan Hoga' from the film 'Jeevan Mrityu', 'Chadti Jawani' from 1971 film 'Caravan'. 'Yeh Dil Tum Bin Kahin Lagta Nahin' is one among them. The song is from the 1968 film, 'Izzat'. The romantic track was penned by Sahir Ludhianvi and composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

Jo wada kiya wo nibhana padega: 'Jo wada kiya wo nibhana padega' is sung by the Mohammed Rafi & Lata Mangeshkar, written by Sahir Ludhianvi and, music was composed by Roshan.

2. Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar

Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein: Lata collaborated with singer Kishore Kumar for evergreen tracks like Gata Rahe Mera Dil (Guide), Kora Kagaz Tha (Aradhana), Lag Jaa Gale (Woh Kaun Thi).
'Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein' is from the 1974 film, 'Ajnabee'. The song was performed by Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar. The lyrics were written by Anand Bakshi. It was picturised on Rajesh Khanna and Zeenat Aman.

Dekha Ek Khwab: 'Dekha Ek Khwab' another beautiful duet by the legends. The song is from the 1981 movie 'Silsila'. The music was composed by Hariprasad Chaurasia, Shivkumar Sharma, while the lyrics were penned down by Javed Akhtar.

3. RD Burman and Lata Mangeshkar

Tum aa gaye ho noor aa gaya hai: RD Burman has been one of the most respected music directors of his times. He has given some of the best hits we cherish till date. 'Tum aa gaye ho noor aa gaya hai' is from the film, 'Aandhi', released in 1975. The song was performed by Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar and music was by R. D. Burman.

Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Naa: 'Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Naa' song is from the film 'Ghar'. The music was composed by none another than RD Burman and the song was sung by the legendary playback singer Lata Ji.

4. Mukesh and Lata Mangeshkar

Ek pyar ka nagma hai: 'Ek pyar ka nagma hai' is from the 1972 Hindi movie 'Shor' and sung by Mukesh and Lata Mangeshkar. This romantic evergreen old song was written by Santosh Anand and music composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal.

Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein: 'Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein' is in the melodius voice of the legends, Lata and Mukesh. Music of this song was given by Khayyam while the lyrics was penned by great lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi.

5. Manna Dey and Lata Mangeshkar

Pyar Hua Ikraar Hua: 'Pyar Hua Iqrar Hua' is a song from the 1955 movie 'Shree 420'. It was sung by Manna Dey and Lata Mangeshkar. Lyrics were penned by Shailendra and music composed by Jaikishan Dayabhai Panchal, Shankar Singh Raghuvanshi.

Yeh Raat Bheegi Bheegi: 'Yeh Raat Bheegi Bheegi' is from the 1956 film, 'Chori Chori'. The singers were Manna Dey and Lata Mangeshkar. The lyrics was penned by Shailendra and the music was composed by Shankar-Jaikishan.
