Mithun Chakraborty meets PM Modi after receiving Padma Bhushan, see pic

Mithun Chakraborty received Padma Bhushan for his commendable contribution in the fields of arts on April 22. The veteran actor met Prime Minister Narendra Modi after receiving the third-highest civilian award. Pictures of their meeting are now going viral on the internet.

Mithun meets PM Modi

Mithun’s son, Mimoh Chakraborty, shared the pictures of his father meeting the Prime Minister. Along with the pictures, he wrote in caption, ““What an honour and privilege it is to be your son! You are my hero, dad! You are the greatest man I know, and you are so deserving of this award! Congrats on your Padma Bhushan Award! ❤️❤️❤️.”

This is the first time that the actor has met PM after his health scare earlier this year. The actor-politician was hospitalised after suffering a stroke. After getting discharged, the actor had revealed that the PM had called him to check on him once he was stable. He also shared that PM Modi scolded him for not taking care of himself.

The veteran actor has entertained the audience for many decades and has received several awards in his illustrious career. The actor had received a National Award for his first film. His 1982 film ‘Disco Dancer’ gave him a global identity. The actor entered politics after becoming a Rajya Sabha member with the support of TMC and then joining hands with BJP.

Mithun has been active with films and TV appearances. He was a part of ‘The Kashmir Files’ in 2022, worked on some Bengali films and was also seen as a judge of the dance reality show.
