Onam is one of the biggest South-Indian festival, which is particularly celebrated in the state of Kerala and among Malayalis across the world. The harvest festival is spread over 10 days and it marks the Malayalam New Year. Celebrities such as Mohanlal, Sai Pallavi, Karthi and others have taken to social media to wish their fans.

Megastar Mohanlal took to Twitter and shared the new posters of his upcoming films ‘Monster’ and ‘Alone’ on this auspicious occasion. He wrote, ’Team #Monster wishing you a beautiful Onam filled with love and happiness.’

Mammootty shared a picture looking dashing in mundu (lungi) as he extended his ‘heartiest wishes to all’ on Onam.

Sai Pallavi penned a note for her fans on Twitter and requested them to share Sadhya with friends like her, who don’t have access to it. ‘Onam Ashamasakal to all you lovely people. May you be immersed in joy, spread love and pls share Sadhya with friends like me who don’t have access to it,’ she wrote.

Karthi, who will next be seen in Mani Ratnam's ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, tweeted, ‘Onam Ashamsagal Makkale!! Enjoy the time with family! #HappyOnam’.

Prithviraj Sukumaran, Hema Malini, R Madhavan are among other stars who have wished their fans on social media.
