While everyone is eagerly awaiting the release of the film 'Sharmaji Namkeen’, here comes a memorable tribute by Bollywood’s superstars to the late Rishi Kapoor, the film’s leading man. Actors Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Farhan Akhtar, and many others have come together to recreate the famous ‘Om Shanti Om’ track in their own sweet way.

As a tribute, these celebrities have gone down the retro route by dressing up like Rishi Kapoor whilst they shake a leg to his popular song ‘Om Shanti Om’ from the all-time blockbuster film ‘Karz’. Needless to say, when one sees these superstars dancing to the hit track, the golden memories of the late Rishi Kapoor become fresh in front of our eyes.

This has happened for the first time in Bollywood when two actors play the same role in one film. After the untimely death of Rishi Kapoor, the makers of the film tried to rope in Ranbir Kapoor to play the late actor’s part. Despite all the efforts, they were unable to fill the vacuum left by Rishi. That’s when the film’s makers hit upon the idea of roping in the versatile actor Paresh Rawal for Rishi Kapoor’s role for the remaining portions of the film.

The release date of ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ is 31 March. Besides Rishi Kapoor, the film also stars has an ensemble cast of Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha and Isha Talwar.
