Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana', starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, is currently in production. Actor Ajinkya Deo expressed his excitement about being part of the project on Instagram.

Despite the secrecy surrounding the project, actors and team members are revealing details about Ramayana. Ajinkya Deo confirmed his role in the film by sharing a selfie with Ranbir Kapoor. He also mentioned his recent collaborations with the Kapoor family, including Neetu Kapoor in ‘Letters to Mr. Khanna’ and Karisma Kapoor in ‘Brown.’

He wrote, ‘So now for the clarification on this photo … excited to be doing a stellar role in the film Ramayan a magnum opus with RK and it’s been a wonderful year and half as I shared the screen first with Neetusingh Kapoor ma’am then with Karishma Kapoor for a web series and now with Ranbir Kapoor.’

In the upcoming film, Ranbir Kapoor is cast as Ram, and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Recently leaked photos from the set show both actors in costume and makeup for their roles. The movie is rumoured to include Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Arun Govil as Dashrath.

Ranbir has been rigorously following a workout regime for his role. Celebrity fitness trainer Shivohaam previously shared glimpses of Ranbir's fitness journey, emphasizing the importance of hard work and proper planning.

He wrote, ‘It was all hard work over three-plus years. Nothing is ever achieved by taking shortcuts in life. Clarity and a vision of the end goal with a properly planned and structured program to reach that goal is essential.’

Sunny Deol is also rumoured to be part of the project.

Before Nitesh Tiwari, Om Raut had endeavored to bring Ramayana to the big screen with the Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan-starrer ‘Adipurush.’ The film faced a lot of backlash for poor VFX and dialogues and tanked at the box office.
