‘RRR’ has been named among the 10 best films of 2022 by the National Board of Review

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’ has been named one of the ten best films of this year by the National Board of Review. The annual awards are seen as an accurate predictor of Oscar’s success.

The Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer has become a cult hit in the West. The film was a box office blockbuster worldwide but wasn’t selected as India’s official entry to the Academy Awards. However, owing to a concentrated campaign with Rajamouli as its face, ‘RRR’ has emerged as a frontrunner for the Oscars.

Tom Cruise starrer ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, directed by Joseph Kosinski, is this year’s best film, according to the National Board of Review.
