Singer-actor Mallika Rajput dies by suicide at 35

Singer-actor Mallika Rajput was found dead at her home in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The actor was found hanging in her room and her body was sent for post mortem on February 13.

The police shared that the 35-year-old singer was found hanging from the fan in a room of her house in Sitakund locality of Kotwali police station area. Talking about the incident, her mother Sumitra Singh told India TV, "Earlier the door was closed. And the light was on. We took three rounds but could not open the door. At last, I looked through the window and saw that she was standing there. When I knocked on the door, I saw that our daughter was hanging. I called my husband and others, but she was no more." The family has no clue about why she committed suicide and has not named anyone responsible for it.

As per a report by Jagran, Mallika Rajput was living in Mumbai.
Mallika starred in Kangana Ranaut-starrer crime comedy ‘Revolver Rani’ which released in 2014. The late actor also appeared in the music video for the song Yaara Tujhe by Shaan.
