The sudden death of popular singer KK has sent shockwaves across the nation. From politicians to celebrities and fans, heartfelt tributes are pouring in for him on social media. KK passed away shortly after performing at a concert in Kolkata on Tuesday.

Speaking exclusively to Editorji, singer and lyricist Palak Muchhal said that she is 'unable to come to terms' with KK's demise. Calling him an 'inspiration,' the singer recalled singing her first song 'Laapata' from the 2012 film 'Ek Tha Tiger' with him.

'KK sir has always been an inspiration. He has inspired us for so many years. I am blessed to have sung my first song from 'Ek Tha Tiger' 'Laapata' with him. He was my first co-singer,' she said.

Also watch| 'KK was only interested in his art and loved ones', says Karan Oberoi

She further described her first meeting with KK and said that he was delighted to meet her.

'I just can't believe that he is not with us anymore. He was always, always very very encouraging and very motivating. And whenever he would enter a studio, he would make the whole environment so positive. Be it his interactions with his co singers, music composers, sound engineers. He would make everybody feel so happy, comfortable, positive around. He was such a dedicated musician, she said.

Palak added that KK was looking for something else in life and keeping himself distanced from the media and limelight. Calling him a 'true artist and musician,' Palak said life was unfair to take him away so soon but he shall continue to inspire in the years ahead with the songs and music he has left behind.
