Singham Again vs. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3: T-Series Asks CCI for 50% Screens in Epic Ajay-Kartik Showdown!

T-Series, the producer of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, seeks a fair 50-50 split with Singham Again in major theatres for healthy competition.

Singham Again vs. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3: T-Series Asks CCI for 50% Screens in Epic Ajay-Kartik Showdown!

This Diwali, Bollywood is buzzing with excitement as two major films, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again, gear up for a fierce box office showdown. Kartik Aaryan's horror comedy sequel will go head-to-head with Ajay Devgn's action-packed installment in the Cop Universe. With both films set to release on November 1, exhibitors and distributors are deliberating on how to allocate screen time effectively.

T-Series, the production house behind Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, has taken the unusual step of approaching the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for intervention. Reports suggest that Rohit Shetty's team, representing Singham Again, has managed to secure a staggering 60% of showtimes at PVR INOX, India's largest theatre chain. Additionally, some single-screen theatres have reportedly been instructed to dedicate all their shows to Singham Again, while allowing Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 to screen only during early morning slots.

This screen allocation battle is not uncommon when two big films clash, especially during festive seasons like Diwali, where box office potential is at its peak. T-Series is advocating for a fair 50-50 split of screens in major theatres, highlighting the need for healthy competition in the industry.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 brings back Kartik Aaryan as Rooh Baba, along with Vidya Balan’s iconic character Manjulika. The film, directed by Anees Bazmee, also features Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri in pivotal roles.

On the flip side, Singham Again promises high-octane action, featuring a star-studded cast that includes Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Jackie Shroff. As the Diwali release date approaches, all eyes are on this epic clash in Indian cinema.
