Suhana Khan, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with ‘The Archies’, recently attended a book launch event in Mumbai as a chief guest. Suhana unveiled Koel Purie’s book ‘Clearly Invisible In Paris’ and shared how it was to leave home at the age of 15.

Talking about how she relates to one of the characters in the book, Suhana said, ‘I have studied in the UK and New York and I feel like it was the people and the friendships that I made that made it home rather than the place.’

When asked if she has her own immigrant story, Suhana said, ‘I wouldn’t call myself an immigrant and all. I went there to study. I left home when I was 15 for boarding school, so I think that was scary because it was definitely a culture shock and I think it took me a while to feel at home and when I did it was because of the people there and how their friendship, their love made me feel seen when I felt invisible.’

Proud mother Gauri Khan expressed her joy over her daughter Suhana Khan’s recent accomplishment on social media. Sharing a clip from the interview, she captioned the post, ‘The first event I ever attended with @iamsrk was a book launch… and now watching @suhanakhan2 speak at another such event has made me feel like life has come full circle! Congratulations @koel.purie.’

Suhana will portray the role of Veronica Lodge in Zoya Akhtar’s Indian adaptation of ‘The Archies’ for Netflix. The film also features Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda in leading roles. It is scheduled to release later this year.
