The nominees for the 81st Golden Globes were revealed on December 11.

Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie' leads the pack with 9 nods including Best Picture Musical or Comedy as well as acting nominations for Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

It is closely followed by Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer which earned 8 nods including Best Picture Drama and for actors Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr, and Emily Blunt.

HBO's ‘Succession,’ delving into the internal strife of a media tycoon's family, snagged a top spot with nine nominations in its final season. Following closely behind were FX's ‘The Bear’ and Hulu's ‘Only Murders in the Building,’ both earning five nods each.

The heated TV drama category features contenders like ‘1923,’ ‘The Crown,’ ‘The Diplomat,’ ‘The Last of Us,’ and ‘The Morning Show.’

Meanwhile, the best comedy race showcases the likes of ‘The Bear,’ ‘Only Murders in the Building’ ‘Abbott Elementary,’ ‘Barry,’ ‘Jury Duty,’ and ‘Ted Lasso.’

Netflix, renowned for series like ‘Maestro,’ ‘The Crown,’ and ‘The Diplomat,’ emerged as the leading nominee with 28 nods among all media companies. Close on its heels was Warner Bros. Discovery with 27 nominations, including recognition for ‘Barbie,’ ‘Succession,’ and ‘Barry.’

In addition to nominations for films, shows, and actors, the forthcoming Golden Globes will have 2 new categories - cinematic and box office achievement and best stand-up comedian on television.

Cedric ‘The Entertainer’ and Wilmer Valderrama revealed the Golden Globes nominations while rumors swirl about the show's difficulty in securing a host.
