The Oscars 2024 was a night full of laughters, smiles, some wins and some losses. The two of the biggest awards of the night were bagged by Oppenheimer and Poor Things. While Cillian Murphy won the award for the 'Best Actor', Emma Stone took home the 'Best Actress award for 'Poor Things'. Oppenheimer even managed to bag the Best Film award!

Cillian Murphy wins 'Best Actor' award

Cillian Murphy won the Best Actor award at the 96th Academy Awards in Los Angeles. His performance in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer where he played the lead character, J Robert Oppenheimer has recieved tons of praise. This was Murphy’s first nomination at the Oscars and his first win!

Emma Stone wins 'Best Actress' award

Poor Things actress Emma Stone took home the 'Best Actress' award for her role in the film. Emma Stone bagged the Oscar for best actress for Poor Things at the 96th Academy Awards in Los Angeles. directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, the film stars Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe and Ramy Youssef alongside Emma. Emma beat Lily Gladstone for Killers of the Flower Moon, Sandra Hüller for Anatomy of a Fall and Carey Mulligan for Maestro.

Who won what at Oscars 2024?

Davine Joy Randolp bagged the honour of Best Supporting Actress for 'The Holdovers'. “God is so good,” she said while accepting her award. She was honoured with the award after Lupita N'yongo, Jamie Lee Curtis, Regina King and others announced after introducing each nominee.

On the other hand, Hayao Miyazaki's 'The Boy and the Heron' won the coveted Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. In a first for a French film, 'Anatomy of a Fall' bagged the honour for Best Original Screenplay.
