BTS leader RM, also known as Kim Namjoon, has released a music video for ‘Domodachi’ featuring Little Simz, matching the track's twisty and chaotic vibe.

The K-pop star doesn't make an appearance, but the video follows a teenage protagonist navigating through underground tunnels in a dark city. The journey includes encounters with a violent crowd riot and a subway full of somber commuters, culminating in an escape over a fence with a friend's help.

The track blends genres and tempos, with RM and Simz rapping over a mix of hip-hop beats and jazz instrumentals. The music's pace mirrors the frantic energy of the video.

‘Domodachi’ is the fourth track from RM's latest album, 'Right Place, Wrong Person,' to receive a music video, following ‘Come Back to Me,’ ‘LOST!,’ and ‘Groin.’ The album was released in full on May 24, marking RM's second studio LP as a solo artist.

The 11-track album follows RM's 2022 debut, 'Indigo,' which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. Ahead of the release, the 'Wild Flower' singer shared batches of concept photos portraying him as an "ordinary individual in relatable, everyday settings, enjoying moments of freedom," a departure from his glamorous stage persona. RM, along with the other BTS members, is currently serving in the South Korean military.

In South Korea, all eligible men must serve in the military for 18 months before turning 28. Despite this, some BTS members have pursued side projects while enlisted, allowing them to stay involved in the music industry alongside their military service.

The K-pop group plans to reunite for band activities in 2025.
