Top 10 most followed K-stars on Instagram, did your favourite make the cut?

The Hallyu wave has taken over the world, with K-pop groups and K-dramas becoming more and more popular. In the age of the Internet it's become increasingly easy to access your faves at your finger tips with social media.

Many of these K-stars have found a home on Instagram, the hub of social networking.

Here are the top 10 most popular Hallyu stars on Instagram:

1. Hwang In Yeop who rose to fame through his breakthrough role in 'True Beauty' is amongst the youngest actors to cross the 10 million followers mark online.

2. South Korean boy band EXO’s Kai is the most popular one from the band. According to his personal Instagram account, he enjoys a fan following of over 12.7 million followers. Kai will be making his second solo comeback on November 30th with 'Peaches'.

3. Lee Dong Wook crossed the 11 million followers' milestone on Instagram. He is best known for his leading roles in the television dramas 'My Girl', 'Scent of a Woman' and 'The Fugitive of Joseon'.

4. Kim Soo Hyun also has over 11 million followers on Instagram. One of the highest-paid actors in South Korea, his accolades include four Baeksang Arts Awards, two Grand Bell Awards and one Blue Dragon Film Award. From 2012 to 2016 and in 2021, he has appeared in Forbes Korea Power Celebrity 40 list.

5. Nam Joo Hyuk, an actor and model, has over 16 million followers on his Instagram handle. In 2020, Nam featured in Forbes 30 under 30 thanks to his successful acting and modeling career.

6. Ji Chang-wook is a South Korean actor and singer. He rose to fame for playing the lead role of Dong-hae in daily drama series 'Smile Again'. As of now, he has 17.2 million followers on Instagram.

7. Park Seo-joon, best known for his starring in the television series 'Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth', 'What's Wrong with Secretary Kim', and 'Itaewon Class'. The actor has 19 million followers and will be seen next in the MCU's next iteration of Captain Marvel.

8. Lee Jong Suk has 19.8 million followers on Instagram. He debuted in 2005 as a runway model, becoming the youngest male model ever to participate in Seoul Fashion Week.

9. Lee Dong-min, professionally known as Cha Eun-woo, is a South Korean singer, actor, and model. He is a member of the South Korean boy group Astro and has 22.5 million followers on IG.

10. Lee Min Ho and arguably one of the most famous K-drama actors in India, has 25.3 million followers on Instagram. He gained widespread fame worldwide with his role as Gu Jun-pyo in 'Boys Over Flowers' which also earned him the Best New Actor award.
