Just days after India's Home Minister Amit Shah visited Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists murdered a civilian, and injured a vendor from Bihar on March 21. Two separate terror incidents were reported from Budgam and Pulwama districts.

In Budgam, terrorists shot Tajamul Mohiuddin Rather near his residence in Gothpora around 7:20 pm on March 21. He later succumbed to his injuries despite being rushed to a hospital.

Meanwhile, in Pulwama, Bisujeet Kumar from Bihar came under attack. Kumar was shot by terrorists at Circular Road, and was taken to the Pulwama hospital.

Home Minister Amit Shah was recently in the Union Territory for the 83rd Raising Day parade of the Central Reserve Police Force, or CRPF. On the same day, terrorists had hurled grenades at two CRPF camps in Shopian and Pulwama.

Shah had also taken stock of the security situation in J&K during his trip. The Home Minister had reportedly lauded the improvement in the security situation, noting that terror incidents reduced from 417 in 2018 to 229 in 2021, and the number of security personnel killed in the line of duty reduced from 91 in 2018 to 42 in 2021.
