    A video of a Uttar Pradesh policeman, dressed in civilian clothes thrashing a man with his shoe has gone viral on social media.

    The video of the incident which was reported from Hardoi has triggered outrage over the police-high-handedness.

    In the video, the cop- identified as Dinesh assaulted the man by hitting him 38 times in four minutes on his face and all over the body.

    As per NDTV, the cop has been suspended after the video surfaced.

    Constable Dinesh was in a local market when a drunk man started misbehaving with people. Following which the cop beat him up, NDTV reported, quoting Additional Superintendent of Police West Durgesh Kumar Singh.
