CBSE's class 9 textbook takes a modern turn with a chapter on dating and relationships; Tinder reacts

We have all studied the periodic table and trigonometry during our school times, but have you ever heard about studying relationships in schools?

A social media user named Khushi shared snippets from CBSE's class 9th textbook, which featured a chapter dedicated to 'dating and relationships.' The chapter explained popular dating terms like 'ghosting,' 'catfishing,' and ‘cyberbullying.'

After the post went viral, social media users divided and commented hilariously on the post. Dating app Tinder also joined the conversation and suggested that the 'next chapter should be on how to deal with breakups.'

One user requested, "Send me the book; I need to read the entire chapter." Another user commented, "Back then, we weren't even allowed to be friends with boys. This is great."

A third individual expressed, "I believe it's a positive step. In this internet era, kids are exposed to a lot. Teaching teens about understanding themselves and their partners will benefit them in the long run. It might help break free from toxic cycles."

Another participant stated, "This is truly commendable. It represents the genuine progress in the Indian Education System that everyone desires." A different perspective was shared by a fifth person, "I think it's a positive initiative. I just hope teachers are genuinely addressing these topics and not treating them casually like the reproduction chapters."
