A social media user named Khushi shared snippets from CBSE's class 9th textbook, which featured a chapter dedicated to 'dating and relationships.' The chapter explained popular dating terms like 'ghosting,' 'catfishing,' and &lsquo;cyberbullying.'
After the post went viral, social media users divided and commented hilariously on the post. Dating app Tinder also joined the conversation and suggested that the 'next chapter should be on how to deal with breakups.'
One user requested, "Send me the book; I need to read the entire chapter." Another user commented, "Back then, we weren't even allowed to be friends with boys. This is great."
A third individual expressed, "I believe it's a positive step. In this internet era, kids are exposed to a lot. Teaching teens about understanding themselves and their partners will benefit them in the long run. It might help break free from toxic cycles."
Another participant stated, "This is truly commendable. It represents the genuine progress in the Indian Education System that everyone desires." The Central Board of Secondary Education will not award any division or distinction in class 10 and 12 board exams, a senior official said on Friday.
"No overall division, distinction or aggregate of marks shall be awarded. Also, if a candidate has offered more than five subjects, the decision to determine the best five subjects may be taken by the admitting institution or employer,&rdquo; said CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj.
Bhardwaj said the Board does not calculate, declare or inform the percentage of marks.
"If the percentage of marks is required for higher education or in employment, the calculation if any, may be done by the admitting institution or employer," he said.
Earlier, the CBSE also did away with the practice of issuing merit lists to avoid unhealthy competition.

When early socialisation plays such an pivotal role in sculpting world views, viewing the material that we give children from a more sensitised and critical lens is slowly becoming the need of the hour.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday rolled out new schemes&nbsp;for the class 10th and 12th board exams for&nbsp;the academic session 2021-22.
As per the new schemes,&nbsp;the academic session will be divided into two terms, with 50 per cent syllabus in each term. In an official statement, CBSE said a systemic approach by looking into the interconnectivity of concepts and topics by the subjects experts and the board will conduct examinations at the end of each term on the basis of the bifurcated syllabus.
The syllabus for the Board examination 2021-22 will be rationalised similar to that of the last academic session and will notified in July 2021.&nbsp;
For academic transactions, however, schools will follow the curriculum and syllabus released by the Board. Schools will also use alternative academic calendar and inputs from the NCERT on transacting the curriculum.
The Board further said that efforts will be made to make internal assessment/practical/project work more credible and valid as per the guidelines and moderation policy to be announced by the Board to ensure fair distribution of marks.

For candidates who have not appeared in enough tests through the year, the schools will conduct online or telephonic assessment for them by May 15 and will have to finalise the result by May 25, officials said.
The board said that the marks will have to be submitted to the CBSE by June 11 and the result will be declared by June 20.
