Eid-ul-Adha 2023: Enjoy your Eid feast while keeping these healthy tips in mind

Eid-ul-Adha or Bakrid also known as the festival of sacrifice is one of the most significant Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide. This year Bakra Eid will be celebrated in India on June 29.

The holy Islamic festival is a joyous occasion that celebrates the faith and unity of the Muslim community. On this day people dress up in new clothes and eat a variety of dishes such as biryani, kofta, kebab etc. but besides eating these delicacies here are a few points that you need to keep in mind to avoid any stomach problem.

Avoid these things to have a healthy festival

  • Make sure to wash meat properly before cooking, preferably with lemon
  • Opt for grilled or baked meat instead of fried kebabs or processed meat
  • Instead of making oily, spicy and greasy gravy, try to make a healthier alternative with lesser oil and cream
  • Add more healthy vegetables to make your dish gut friendly and digestible too
  • Instead of gorging everything during one meal, try to have smaller meals in intervals to keep your gut healthy
  • Consume sweets and desserts in moderate portions or try replacing them with healthier options like fruits or dates
