Recently, Nestle Cerelac has been making headlines due to its high sugar content. Nestle adds sugar and honey to infant milk and cereal products in several countries including India, an investigation by Public Eye claimed. To avoid feeding packaged food to your child, try making this easy homemade cerelac.

Ingredients

  • Poha
  • Makhana
  • Peeled gram
  • Almonds
  • Cashews

Recipe to make cerelac at home

To prepare this, take poha, makhana, peeled gram, almonds and cashews and roast them separately in a pan. Then, grind all these ingredients in a blender and store the mixture in an airtight container. When feeding the baby, pour a cup of water into a pan, add two spoons of the homemade powder, mix well and feed the baby.

Benefits of eating homemade cerelac
