      Headaches can ruin your day and mood. While some may get frequent headaches because of dehydration some suffer headaches after a night of drinking. If you have been suffering from headaches for long and no longer trust pills for remedy, here are some natural ways to get rid of a headache.

      5 natural ways to get rid of headache

      1. Aromatherapy

      One natural way to get rid of headaches is aromatherapy. Choose your favourite scent, be it Jasmine or lavender. Light up your favourite candles, keep away your phone, and relax. Aromatherapy will soothe your senses as oils like lavender and eucalyptus have anti-inflammatory properties

      2. Try accupuncture

      Acupressure is a traditional Chinese healing technique that involves applying pressure to specific points on the body to give relief from pain. Stimulating acupressure points associated with headache relief, can help reduce your headache issue.

      3. Know how to manage stress

      Stress may be one of the biggest contributors to tension headaches and migraines. Practices such as deep breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, and progressive muscle relaxation promote relaxation and help reduce stress.

      4. Drink plenty of water

      When suffering from a headache, make sure to drink plenty of water. To stay hydrated, aim to drink at least eight glasses of water per day, more if engaging in strenuous activities or in hot weather.

      5. Cold compress

      Another thing you can try is applying cold compress to the forehead or neck can provide quick and effective relief from headache pain. Cold therapy helps constrict blood vessels, reduce inflammation, and numb the area, alleviating headache discomfort.
