New trends are pouring on social media every other day; some are helpful and some are not. But this one surely needs will power and perseverance for anyone looking to follow it. This latest trend is called ‘damp drinking’ which simply urges people to lower their alcohol consumption and not necessarily give it up.

What is 'Damp Drinking'?

The trend was explained by a TikToker Hana Elson (@hana.elson) in her post where she explained, that damp lifestyle is internalising the fact that drinking culture and your relationship with alcohol does not have to be black or white, all or nothing.

Experts say add more water in diet

Talking about it, health experts say whether a trend or not, limiting alcohol intake is always better and they advise on adding more non-alcoholic drinks like water or juice to our regular diet. According to them, alcohol should be limited to only 60 ml and that too occasionally.
