The Korean culture places a strong emphasis on practices that promote mental and emotional well-being. From mindful eating to practicing meditation, the Korean way of life can improve your lifestyle.

5 Korean lifestyle habits to adopt for a healthier life

1. Dietary Balance

To lead a healthy life, switch to a Korean diet. The Korean cuisine is renowned for its vibrant flavours and diverse array of side dishes, known as banchan. From kimchi to seasoned vegetables, Korean dishes are full of nutrients

2. Ditch the cabs

In Korea, many ditch private cars and cabs for more active modes of transportation like cycling and walking. If your workplace is near to home, don't take cabs and instead take a walk.

3. Nature is the best therapy

Koreans believe that nature isn't just something to admire from a distance but should be enjoyed. Through the practice of shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, Koreans reduce stress and boost mental well-being!

4. Dancing is the best way to get fit

Korean dances like Ganggangsullae aren't just a form of artistic expression, they are a way to get fit. The rhythmic movements and graceful gestures engage the entire body!

5. Portion control

Along with what you eat, how much you eat is also important. Koreans adopt a mindful approach to eating that helps prevent overindulgence and promotes weight loss.

Another Korean lifestyle you should adopt is drinking tea. By the practice of darye, or tea ceremonies, Koreans celebrate the art of tea drinking. It not only calms the mind but also boost immunity. Herbal teas also have many wellness benefits that can help you relax and live a stress free life.
