Vinicius Jr shines with a hat-trick as Real Madrid beat Barcelona to win the Spanish Super Cup

Vinicius Junior was the star of the night as Real Madrid beat Barcelona 4-1 to clinch their 13th Spanish Super Cup title on Sunday night in Saudi Arabia.

Vinicius Jr scored a brace within the first 10 minutes to give Real a dream start.

Robert Lewandowski pulled one back for Barca with a superb volley but Vinicius netted another to complete a hat-trick in the 1st half itself.

He made no mistake from the spot and converted a 39th-minute penalty to restore Real's 2-goal lead.

Rodrygo then made it 4-1 in the 64th minute and sealed the game for Carlo Ancelotti's side.

After his first goal, the Brazil forward imitated the trademark celebration of former Real Madrid great Cristiano Ronaldo, with CR7 reportedly at the Riyadh stadium.

'I celebrated my goals for Cris (Cristiano Ronaldo), because he's my idol and he's playing here now. People here in Arabia show me that they appreciate me very much and that makes me happy. Regarding the game, I´m very happy and excited about my team and what we've done today. Playing against Barcelona is not easy, it's very difficult to beat them 4-1. The game was almost perfect, in order to be perfect we should have just stopped that goal from Lewandowski,' Vinicius Jr said after the game.
